NEOGEN Dermalogy Bio Peel Gauze Wine review

By Marina Jurcic (marinablueeyes)

Hi everyone!

In search of a new exfoliator I came accross some good reviews and decided to get Neogen Dermalogy Bio Peel Gauze – Wine. There are 2 more options: Green Tea and Lemon, but I decided to get Wine because of the beautiful purple color and I like the grape/red wine scent.

Product description: A chemical and manual exfoliator that uses natural ingredients and innovative triple-pad technology to promote visibly clear, smoother, and brighter skin.

Solutions for:
– Uneven skin tone
– Dullness and uneven texture
– Oiliness.

Suggested use: After cleansing, remove moisture then softly wipe from bottom to top, toward outside of entire face & neck with 1 pcs of peeling pad. -After using gaze peeling side then lightly padding with embossing side and wash with lukewarm water. 1. Insert your finger between gauze peeling pad side and embossing side. Use 1 pcs for a day. 2. Try with the gauze peeling side first. Wipe softly. Mesh gauze neatly remove the dead skin cells. 3. Try with the embossing side with gently pressure. It removes perfectly the remain waste. Wash with lukewarm water.’

Packaging:
Neogen wine peeling gauzes come in a big simple designed plastic jar with white lid. Not travel friendly.
Price is around 27 $ for 30 gauzes (single use).

Texture:
Gauzes are slightly bigger  than your average cotton pad. They are soaked in a high concentration of active ingredients that will leave your skin smoother. There are 2 textures – rougher side (crisscrossed) and smoother side (looks like honeycomb).

Neogen Peeling Gauze Wine – smooth side that is crisscrossed

First, you exfoliate your face with crisscrossed side and then smooth it all in with the smooth side.
Each gauze has its sleeve where you can insert your fingers to comfortably exfoliate and manoeuvre around your entire face, neck and chest. After this process it is important that you rinse your face with lukewarm water and proceed with your regular skin care.

I use them 2 times a week.

Ingredients:
Active ingredients are: Resveratrol / Polyphenol / Tartaric acid / Raspberry / Latic Acid / Glycold Acid.

Reservitol is a polyphenolic antioxidant that can be found in red grapes and red wine. It helps protect skin’s surface and helps rebuff negative environmental influences. It promotes growth of healthy cells and keeps the skin healthy. It also has skin-calming properties that may help minimize the look of redness. It is an antioxidant with powerful anti-aging benefits, including prevention of wrinkles and pigmentation.

Full list ingredients: Water, Disodium EDTA, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Tromethamine, Benzophenone-5, Wine Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Tartaric Acid, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Coptis Chinensis Root Extract, CI 15985, CI 17200, CI 42090, Alcohol Denat., PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Carbomer.

Scent:
The smell of the product is quite strong and it smells like grape and/or wine. It disappears after washing your face.

My thoughts:
I like the concept of the product and I like its simplicity of use. It gently exfoliates my skin and I will repurchase it, but next time it will be the lemon essence one.

4 ways to get dewy glowing skin for Valentine’s day!

For the romantic day of the year, if you are looking for a way to get your best glowing skin, here are four tips to get dewy glowing skin! 1.Slough off the skin buildup for smoother and softer skin. Exfoliation is the easiest and quickest way to provide additional glow to your skin. As you might know, dead skin cells and skin buildup clog pores and prevent moisturizing products from penetrating deep into skin, and which cause a dry flaky skin and dull complexion. Therefore, the step of removing dead skin cells, skin buildup, and impurities helps you get a baby soft skin.

Pore-less skin is now easy with this Sheet Mask!

You know that feeling when you’re gonna try something new but you’re scared because you don’t really know much about it? That's exactly how my first experience with exfoliation was a few years ago. I had heard about it in the past of course but never really knew how to do it right. My closest approach was the scrub my mom used to keep in the shower that I used in my face not even taking the time to read that it was supposed to be for body only (always read your labels peeps!).
