Neogen’s New A-Clear Blemish Treatments Line is THE Breakouts Banisher

by The Glam Gamer ( The Glam Gamer )

Breakouts are awful. Whether they occur once a month during your menstrual cycle, frequently or all the time, blemishes can be painful, make you feel self conscious and leave their mark long after they are gone. Cruelty free KBeauty company Neogen has given us a new powerful way to take blemish battling to the next level.

Meet Neogen New A-Clear blemish treatment line. Each of the four products is formulated to soothe, treat, heal and prevent breakouts.

A-Clear Soothing Foam Cleanser, $20, is your first step of prevention. The plush micro-bubbles clear out clogged pores, excess sebum, makeup and environmental impurities like dust.

Salicylic acid treats existing breakouts and clears away dead skin cells and oil to prevent new ones. Tea tree oil and licorice, excellent antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients clarify while Centella asiatica soothes and heals. Licorice also prevents and lightens post acne marks. Panthenol (a form of vitamin B5) and azulene also calm skin and eases irritation. The ingredients are suitable for all skin types.

Morning and night, dispense an adequate amount and using circular motions, massage over damp skin for 1 minute. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

This cleanser doesn’t sting or leave skin feeling dry and tight. The foaming action is rich, comfy feeling and rinses easily. It removes all types of makeup and leaves skin feeling soft and balanced, i.e., less oily.

A-Clear Soothing Spot Kit, $30, includes a spot cleaner and 10 ampoules for blemish specific cleansing and treating. This kit multitasks to ensure breakouts are quickly healed and don’t spread to the surrounding skin.

The Soothing Spot Cleaner performs as a very gentle deep exfoliator. Formulated with salicylic acid, it whisks away any stubborn dead skin cells that may be hanging around after a foaming cleanse. As in the foaming cleanser, tea tree oil and licorice extract provide antiseptic care and complexion brightening. Think of the Spot Cleaner as a boost to the Foam Cleanser.

The Soothing Spot Ampoule (which comes in a syringe like container) gives skin TLC with calming and soothing ingredients like Centella Asiatica, guaiazulene, green tea and licorice.

To use, take a clean cotton bud and dip it into the Spot Cleaner, soaking the bud in the solution. Gently wipe the bud over breakouts and T-Zone area. If you feel you need more solution due to multiple breakouts, simply dip the other end of the cotton bud in the solution.

For the Spot Ampoule, open the package and remove the syringe cap. Apply an appropriate amount (a little goes a long way) onto blemishes and, if desired, the T-Zone. If there is any Spot Ampoule left over, replace the cap and use next time.

I love sleeping masks and a sleeping mask that can help get rid of that unwanted monthly breakout is a hero. The A-Clear Soothing Overnight Mask, $20, provides gentle peeling via salicylic acid that unglues dead skin cells, pore clogs and debris for a clearer complexion. It regulates overnight sebum production while healing breakouts and easing redness.

Like the other A-Clear products, the Sleeping Mask contains tea tree oil and licorice for decreasing toxicity and irritation from environmental aggressors. Centella asiatica and Panthenol provide overnight relief and eases discomfort of breakouts. The Soothing Sleeping Mask is perfect for sealing in and enhancing the skin care from the A-Clear products.

Take a dime sized amount and pat/press into all areas of your face as the last step of your nighttime skin care routine.

Sometimes we all get those stubborn breakouts that need a hard kick in the butt before they go away. They can especially come around during a menstrual cycle and they are never wanted.

A-Clear Soothing Pink Eraser, $15, is a spot treatment for quickly getting rid of breakouts. It’s a bi-layer product containing ingredients that work together to speed healing, reduce redness and shrink blemishes.

The top layer is composed of the hero ingredients of the A-Clear line. Salicylic acid, tea tree oil and azulene for gentle peeling, clearing and oil control. Azulene, an extract of chamomile, reduces redness and helps aid in the healing and repair of damaged cells.

The bottom layer is made up of calamine, a naturally pink substance that comes from sulphur. Calamine is gentle but powerful in the relief of breakouts and irritation. It helps prevent bacterial infections which, in turn, can prevent future breakouts.

Do not shake the bottle. Each layer works separately yet together. Dip a cotton bud straight down into both layers and remove slowly. You can allow any excess to drip off before removing from the bottle if you want. Dab the mix onto blemishes and/or areas of concern. Leave on overnight. It can be applied over the Soothing Overnight Mask or alone.

I am very pleased with Neogen’s new A-Clear Blemish Treatments. Monthly period time breakouts are banished quickly and without any irritation, excess dryness or flaking. The use of the same key ingredients in each product ensures that the treatments will work together and decreases the chance of skin irritation from using too many different ingredients.

During my time of the month, my oily skin was balanced, comfortable feeling and any breakout was eliminated quickly without leaving a post acne mark. The Soothing Overnight mask did a miraculous job of keeping my overnight sebum production from over producing. I feel like the Soothing Spot Kit was a true enhancer for the Soothing Foaming Cleanser and made a huge difference in caring for my skin. The Soothing Pink Eraser zapped breakouts seemingly overnight.

I absolutely recommend the Neogen A-Clear Blemish treatment line. It clears, protects and prevents breakouts for all skin types without irritation and works well under sunscreen and makeup. If you want to truly banish annoying blemishes, these products are the way to go.

As always, thank you for reading. Remember, the truest form of beauty is kind heart.

Sunscreen is a 365/7 thing,
and here’s why

If you, like me, are a fall/winter lover, then you, like me, are probably rejoicing with the current weather. Leaves are slowly turning orange, it’s finally time to wear those jackets you bought during summer and the fresh breeze caresses your face every time you’re walking on the street. True heaven, am I right? Gone are the days you were sweating the second you set foot outside your house and being hot even when wearing absolutely nothing. But there’s a few things that stay with us all year, things some think belong only to summer time but in reality they’re year-round friends. The most important one? Sunscreen.

Why you should add ferments to your winter skincare routine ASAP

Yes, yes, kombucha is great, but have you ever tried fermented skincare? I know, it can sound weird at first. The first thing that comes to mind when thinking “fermented” is food and drinks, right? Kombucha, cider, beer, cheese, kimchi, yogurt… all good stuff but that’s not the end of it.

Here’s how to keep transitional weather at bay

It’s finally that time of the year! Leaves are turning orange, nights and mornings are getting colder… and our skin is kind of freaking out. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Fall/Winter kind of gal, 100%, but what I’m not a fan of is how my skin reacts to this weather change, because let me repeat: it’s freaking out.
