Perfect Spring Turnover
with Coconut Milk Cleanser,
Camel Milk Moisturizers

As every week of March passes by; you notice the days are indeed getting longer and the temperatures are starting to slowly but gradually get warmer.  This is also when it hits, 'Crap, my skin does not look ready for spring'.

No matter how well we take care of our skin during the winter, it is impossible to come out of winter with perfect looking skin. The dry winter air, biting winds, and over-drying air heating completely sucks the moisture from the skin while making your skin look dull and lifeless.  The drastic temperatures deliver irritation and inflammation to the skin while contagious cold and flu viruses require you to constantly blow your nose until you are left with continuously dry, irritated and flaking skin around your nose and mouth.

Rough, dull, dry and accumulated dead, flaking skin are probably the biggest problems after the long winter.  And this means that no matter how much you moisturize, your skin will still look dry, rough and dull and your makeup will not go on flawlessly even or smooth like you desire. So let's find out how we can smoothly transition our battered winter skin to a pampered spring skin.

Since the air is still on the drier side in March, transitioning right away to a rough exfoliating treatment and chemical might cause your skin to react sensitively as it is still vulnerable from excessive skin dryness and irritation/inflammation from the winter. But you still need to gradually start getting rid of the accumulated dead skin cells, so I would suggest a gentle, hydrating cleanser like the Coconut Milk Pure Mild Cleanser combined with the Magic Pore Brush.

Coconut extract possesses anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties that soothe and calm the skin while coconut oils are effective at breaking down impurities and removing stubborn makeup and dead skin cells.

Using the Coconut Milk Cleanser with the pore brush further adds massaging benefits to the skin for promoting healthier skin circulation and lifting the dull, sunken complexion from winter.  It is also ideal for achieving a stronger exfoliation for removing the more stubborn dead skin cells accumulated from the winter without having to use an exfoliating pad soaked in chemical.  Rough exfoliation pads soaked in exfoliation/peeling chemicals can be too overwhelming for your skin to handle when it is still at a weakened state from the winter weather.  The pore brush is also a handy tool to have year-round especially for those who are prone to flaking, dry skin and also people who need more thorough daily pore cleansing due to excessive oil, sebum, blackheads and whiteheads.

When it comes to the moisturizer, we want to use a rich nourishing cream that could replenish the moisture and radiance back to the skin. And even though earlier March is on the drier side, air humidity starts to increase towards the end of March as we approach April showers.  So it is ideal to choose a moisturizer that is rich and hydrating enough to replenish your skin without feeling greasy or pore clogging through this change in air humidity between March and April. This is why I would suggest the Camel Milk White Volume and the Camel Milk White Source.

Camel milk is abundant in proteins, vitamins, moisture, minerals, and lipids which are the 5 nutrients that are essential for the foundation of healthy skin.  Camel milk is also lower in fat than cow milk but higher in iron which is crucial in promoting healthy oxygen flow and circulation that helps you regain that healthier and lifted complexion back to that dulled out winter complexion.

Despite the fact that it is a rich, concentrated formula, the Camel Milk White Volume absorbs clean and quick like a serum without feeling greasy or pore-congesting which makes it ideal for using in both your AM and PM routine.

The Camel Milk White Source delivers a lighter emulsion type texture that feels as if you applied water to your skin, which makes it ideal to use as frequently as you desire throughout the day as needed.

Further reinforced with natural botanical oils like shea butter, jojoba seed oil, pequi oil and etc., your skin feels ultimately nourished and replenished. Formulated without 17~18 various skin harmful chemicals including parabens, sulfates and etc., it is ideal for moisturizing skin that has become especially sensitive and irritated from the harsh winter weather.

Shake off the signs of winter skin and enjoy a smooth transition smoothly into March for perfectly spring-ready skin!

Sunscreen is a 365/7 thing,
and here’s why

If you, like me, are a fall/winter lover, then you, like me, are probably rejoicing with the current weather. Leaves are slowly turning orange, it’s finally time to wear those jackets you bought during summer and the fresh breeze caresses your face every time you’re walking on the street. True heaven, am I right? Gone are the days you were sweating the second you set foot outside your house and being hot even when wearing absolutely nothing. But there’s a few things that stay with us all year, things some think belong only to summer time but in reality they’re year-round friends. The most important one? Sunscreen.

Why you should add ferments to your winter skincare routine ASAP

Yes, yes, kombucha is great, but have you ever tried fermented skincare? I know, it can sound weird at first. The first thing that comes to mind when thinking “fermented” is food and drinks, right? Kombucha, cider, beer, cheese, kimchi, yogurt… all good stuff but that’s not the end of it.

Here’s how to keep transitional weather at bay

It’s finally that time of the year! Leaves are turning orange, nights and mornings are getting colder… and our skin is kind of freaking out. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Fall/Winter kind of gal, 100%, but what I’m not a fan of is how my skin reacts to this weather change, because let me repeat: it’s freaking out.
