Gold Black Caviar Tox Tightening Pack
REVIEW BY Michelle Winter

Code 9 Gold Black Caviar Essence & Gold Tox Tightening Pack Kit, Neogen at HSN ($48.00), approximately £36.66

Gold. Black. Caviar. Oh my goodness, it just screams luxury, doesn’t it?

I think I’m going to marry this kit. I don’t know how I ever managed without it. If you suffer from redness or dry or dehydrated, you need to buy this, it’ll change your life.

The kit consists of 250ml of gold black caviar essence and 25 triple layer exfoliating pads. The first layer is a gold coated cotton gauze with a criss-cross pattern to gently remove dead skin cells. The second layer is a gold cushion pad to help press the gauze into the skin more effectively and the third layer is embossed to allow the essence to be easily absorbed into the skin.

Preparation is easy, all you need to do is pour the essence (which looks amazing, I mean look at it, it has gold flecks in it!) over the pads in the black container until they’re fully submerged. I followed the instructions and left the container in the fridge for nine hours.

It claims to be a 9-in-1 product and have anti-ageing, detoxifying, glowing, lifting, moisturising, nourishing and properties. It also aims to boost elasticity, improve skin tone and texture.

I had high expectations…

The kit comes with a stand and a pair of plastic tweezers so they’re easy to pick up. I love how simple these pads are to use, just place fingers inside the pad and gently massage the golden side across the face to exfoliate. Finish by gently swiping the cushioned side to boost absorption.

My face was glowing after the first application and looked immediately firmer, smoother and more youthful. Eat your heart out, Gong Yoo! To further test this product after first trying it, I didn’t use anything on my face afterwards. My skin was still dewy the following morning.

I use them after cleansing and toning. I keep them in the fridge for an extra boost, perfect on a warm day! Once I’ve used the pad and patted the remaining essence in, I continue with the rest of my skin care routine.

The core ingredients, gold and black caviar extract help tackle wrinkles, hydrate skin, promote a glowing appearance and boost skin elasticity. Unfortunately, collagen levels in our body are reduced from the age of 25 and at the grand age of 28, I want to continue making sure my skin stays firm and moisturised. This kit also helps reduce the redness across my cheeks.

Skin brightening niacinamide encourages a clearer complexion, collagen plumps skin and sodium hyaluronate helps skin retain moisture levels and look youthful. Needless to say, this kit is ideal to use if you’re concerned about fine lines or wrinkles.

Other skin brightening ingredients include glycyrrhiza glabra (liquorice) root extract, vaccinium angustifolium (blueberry) fruit extract and oryza sativa (rice) extract. Vitis vinifera (grape) fruit extract has anti-ageing benefits and helps protect skin from UV damage.

Although this kit contains alcohol quite high up in the ingredients list and I have sensitive skin, my skin didn’t react at all. I’m so happy! Overall, this is definitely one to repurchase!
This is a collaborative post but this does not influence my opinion.

Pink Cactus Liftmax Knit Mask Review by Elaine

Neogen’s innovative thick, plush knit material masks have been the talk of the Kbeauty community since its launch in March 2017. The unique sweater-like, knitted-cotton material has passed the clinical human skin irritation test and proven to be non-irritating even on sensitive skin types.

I’ve received quite a few requests to test out this mask and a poll on my Instagram account showed that the majority of my readers are more curious about this pink cactus variant. I will be testing out the white truffle variant in a separate post.

Neogen Vita Duo Cream Review by The Glam Gamer

I don’t mind multi-step skin care routines. For each step is not only beneficial but a way to relax, pamper my skin and have some much needed me time. However, I won’t complain when skin care can be condensed into a double duty or multi-step product.

Neogen Vita Duo Cream Joan Day Joan Night, $32, is a collaboration with beauty influencer Joan Kim, a popular YouTube leader in KBeauty, fashion and all things Korean. Cruelty free Neogen is one of her favorite brands so it makes sense that she would collab with them. The Vita Duo Cream comes in a container with 2 separate and generously sized compartments, one for each cream plus a spatula to aid in application. A protective inner plastic seal with each side labeled keeps the product fresh and protected.

Real Cica Micellar Oil & Foam Review by Bambi

I feel like 2018 is a Cica year - all the Cica products that we can see all around the place. This trend seems to be associated with K-beauty but it's not only about Korean brands that started this cult. There's always a reason why something becomes popular so I was positively surprised when I heard that Neogen has decided to make a series based on Centella Asiatica and release the Cica series. Currently, my double cleansing is based on Neogen Cica Micellar Cleansing Oil and Neogen Cica Micellar Cleansing Foam. How does it look like and why you should give a chance to this due?
